WHAT OUR MEMBERS HAVE TO SAY
CrossFit Highfields Is firstly your community, people you can hangout with in and outside the gym. It’s your go to for starting your fitness journey, reaching a specific sport goal or to just live an active healthy life! I’ve been attending CrossFit for 3 years. The most important thing I’ve learnt is to be motivated by the people around you but scale the WODs to your ability. Nobody is a fool in CrossFit, all levels are encouraged. The coaches work with you and lead by example. Most egos are left at the door and once you start you won’t want to leave

When I first joined Crossfit Highfields it was purely for the convenience. I had 3 small kids and it was getting harder and harder to find the time to get into town to do a workout. I remember the first time I walked through the doors for my very first session and I was so nervous and scared to be starting something new. But everyone was so welcoming and I soon realised that this Box was so much more than convenience. It is a family. It’s where I can go for an hour of my day and be greeted with warm smiles and huge amounts of energy. The coaching staff are amazing…so motivating and encouraging, and offer different options for all levels of fitness. They push you just that little bit more, when you feel you have nothing left. And the results speak for themselves. The members? So friendly and so much fun, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them of an afternoon and sweating it out beside them! I cannot recommend Crossfit Highfields enough. It’s a home away from home and if you are contemplating a change then you should definitely come out for a trial-you won’t be disappointed!

Well what can I say about CF Highfields… I started in Feb 21 with one goal in mind ‘fit 4 fourty’ with classes scaled for fitness and ability I found no trouble settling in always trying to improve my movements. Without the coaching and support from Shaun, Liv, Ant and Kaz I wouldn’t have seen it through. There is a great community training so it’s always fun. Looking forward to the new year under the new lead coaches Liv and Ant, I can’t wait to see what I can achieve for the year. MARK
After giving up team sports and working in a desk job I knew something had to change. The team at CrossFit Highfields were super welcoming with a real community feel about the place. The coaching is great and there’s always an option to suit your skill level or a work around for any injuries you might have so you can complete the WODS. I never knew pain oops I mean exercise could be so fun and addictive.

Hey, I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 5 years. Been loving it ever since. It was my rehab when I broke my ankle from playing soccer, the doctor said that my ankle wouldn’t be the same but since doing CrossFit it’s never been better so I decided to retire and hung up the boots and focus on CrossFit. It helps with my everyday lifestyle, specifically with my work as I’m a tree climber (arborist). I’ve been going to CrossFit Highfields for a few months now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I love the community, the programming and the freedom. The support and the push from the coaches are amazing, very hard to find.

For someone who has never been a “gym” person, Crossfit Highfields has been an amazing fit for me. No matter what age or what level of fitness you are at CFH is an amazingly supportive, inclusive place to train with fantastic coaches & a wonderful group of people. I have found myself stronger, healthier & happier at 49 than I have ever been.

CFH has a wonderful sense of community and a holistic approach to health and well-being. After competing in various sports for years I succumbed to a number of injuries followed by multiple surgeries. CFH has been wonderful in rehabbing and managing my injuries with their ongoing encouragement my fitness and strength continues to improve. The team at CFH are extremely knowledgeable, encouraging and friendly. I can’t imagine my life without CrossFit.

FITNESS IN 100 WORDS
“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports”.
